Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
WASH YOUR HANDS before caring for your tattoo.
Keep your bandage on for 2 hours or up to overnight after you leave the studio
With clean hands, lather antibacterial soap and warm water and gently clean the tattoo. Do this at least twice daily.
Do not rebandage your tattoo unless we have discussed how/when it is appropriate to do so.
For the first three days, you can moisturize your tattoo with a tiny bit of Aquaphor or Tattoo Salve between washes. DO NOT use any neosporin, bacitracin, or any kind of antibiotic ointment.
When your tattoo begins to lightly scab/flake, you may use a small amount of unscented lotion to moisturize as needed / soothe the dry itchiness.
Allow your tattoo to peel and flake on it’s own. It will peel much like a sunburn and does not need your help. While it is itchy and annoying, it is NEVER OKAY to pick or scratch your tattoo while it is healing.
No sun, no beach, no pool and no baths for at least two weeks. Showers are fine but please don’t soak your tattoo.
Your tattoo will be completely healed in around three to four weeks.
